Japanese Canadian Survivors  Health & Wellness Fund Update

Seniors Health & Wellness • March 5, 2024

We recently announced that the Japanese Canadian Survivors Health & Wellness Fund is open for applications as of February 1. The fund will remain open for another year, until March 31, 2025, assisting Survivors* with their health care needs.

Teams of Outreach Workers have been hired and have begun working with seniors and their families across four areas of the country: British Columbia; Alberta; Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northern Ontario; and Ontario, Quebec, and Eastern Canada. The Outreach Workers have begun hosting events in these areas to provide information and onsite application assistance. Survivors and their families are encouraged to attend these sessions to receive help as needed, including validating documentation for those who applied online.

Please visit jcwellness.org for details on the fund. Click on the “events” tab for a list of upcoming information and assistance sessions in your area.
