Intergenerational Wellness Intake 2 funding recipients announced

Community Fund • July 2, 2024

The Japanese Canadian Legacies Society is pleased to announce the results of the second intake of the Intergenerational Wellness stream of the Community Fund. Thank you to the many families, groups and organizations from across the country who applied in this round. We were deeply moved by the project applications, many of which spoke to the ongoing need for intergenerational healing, collaboration, and dialogue. In reaching across generations we form connections that build memory, strength, and resilience.

We owe a deep thanks to the Assessment Team who juried the applications for Intake 2, ensuring that the original purpose of this stream was kept front and centre. The team was made up of Lucy Komori, Jan Nobuto, Eiko Eby, Nicola Koyanagi, Carley Okamura, and Taya Mikado.

Thanks also to the Intergenerational Wellness Advisory Team made up of Lucy Komori, Nicola Koyanagi, Jeff Masuda, Carley Okamura, and Leanne Toshiko Simpson.
