Japanese Canadian History Pavilion
Opening Ceremony
Saturday, August 29, 2026, 1pm
Starting at Village Square

The opening of the Japanese Canadian History Pavilion is expected to draw attendees from across British Columbia and potentially from Japan, including community elders, descendants of pre-war Japanese Canadian families, government representatives, and invited dignitaries.

Given Ucluelet’s peak summer tourism season, available accommodation is limited and subject to early booking deadlines. Several local properties have agreed to hold rooms on a provisional basis, with most requiring confirmation by April 2026.

Booking Deadline: April 15, 2026

Note that other accommodations are available in the area but tend to get booked up well in advance.
