The online application portal for Japanese Canadian Survivors Health & Wellness Fund Grants 1 and 2 is now closed. Our staff are still processing existing applications that were received prior to March 31, 2025, 5pm PST with a valid Survivor Request Number (SR#). The SR# was sent by email when an online application was submitted. Please use this reference number in your communications. If you have not received your cheque, please know that Outreach Workers are continuing to validate, process and follow up on payments.
助成金１＆２のオンライン申請ポータルの締切
ついに春がやってきました。少しずつ暖かくなってきましたが、くれぐれもご自愛くださいませ。
日系カナダ人生存者健康福祉基金の助成金１及び助成金２のオンライン申請ポータルは締め切らせていただきました。２０２５年３月３１日午後５時（太平洋標準時）までに有効な申請番号（SR＃）が発行されたお申込みについては、現在も引き続き手続きを行っております。SR＃は、オンライン申請を完了された際にEメールで送信されます。お申込みについてお問い合わせをされる際などは、こちらのSR＃をお使いください。小切手が届いていない場合は、アウトリーチワーカーが引き続き確認手続き及びフォローアップを行っておりますのでご安心ください。
In total, we have received 5,272 application requests. To date we have successfully contacted 4,524 Survivors and processed 7,623 Grants. Some Survivors are waiting for re-issued cheques (for lost or undelivered/change/incorrect addresses) and will continue to be served. Our staff is working to deliver payments to the eligible Survivors in a timely manner.
また、申請期間中に合計5,272件のお申込みを受け付けました。現在までに、4,524名の生存者の方と連絡を取り、7,623件の助成金の手続きを行いました。一部の生存者の方には、小切手の再発行（紛失、未着、住所変更及び住所の入力ミス等）をお待ちいただいておりますが、引き続き手続きを行います。対象となる生存者の方々にタイムリーに支払いを行うようスタッフ一同努めています。
TAX QUESTION
In preparation for income tax submission, many have asked:
Are the Grants considered taxable in Canada?
The answer is No – our auditors assure us that the grant monies are not taxable and do not need to be reported to the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA). Please note that we are unable to assist in any tax preparations.
タックスリターン（確定申告）に備えて多くの方から「助成金はカナダで課税対象になますか？」という質問がありました。
–助成金はカナダでは課税対象にならず、カナダ国税庁（CRA）に申告する必要はないと、協会の会計検査官が保証しています。また、確定申告のお手伝い等は行っておりませんのでご了承ください。
